Coria undergoes surgery

World number three Guillermo Coria had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder in Barcelona on Monday and expects to miss the U.S. Open later this month. The Argentine damaged nerves in the shoulder at the French Open and was forced to pull out of the

"The doctors say I will be out for up to three months," Coria said on his official web site on Tuesday.

"I haven't given up hope that I will be playing by the end of the year."

The 22-year-old says he plans a brief vacation and would make scheduled public appearances in the United States.
