Andy Murray was in stunning form as he destroyed Dustin Brown 6-3 6-2 6-2 to reach the third round of Wimbledon with consummate ease.
After Jo Konta took three hours and three epic sets to battle past Donna Vekic, the Centre Court crowd were able to catch their breath as Murray cantered past the eccentric German.
The world number one and top seed lost just three games in an opening set which he dominated throughout, and Brown was simply unable to establish his attractive serve-and-volley game.
Murray only lost four further games in the second and third sets as he breezed past the German without any problems whatsoever.
Indeed, it took just 96 minutes for Murray to complete the victory before he shared a laugh with Brown at the net.
"My hip is OK," Murray told BBC Sport.
"I have moved well in the first couple of matches, it hasn't affected me. I have been getting good practices in and it feels good. Hopefully it stays that way.
"It's been a good start, hopefully I can keep it going."
The defending champion will next take on Fabio Fognini of Italy, who is seeded 28th, in the third round.
It is the first time since Tim Henman, Mark Petchey, Greg Rusedski, Andrew Richardson and Karen Cross all reached the third round back in 1997 that at least four Brits have progressed this far.
