The serve is purring again in the early exchanges and it’s quick work for Nick to nudge the board again.

It’s interesting how it has taken Djokovic a set or so to hit top form in so many matches this year.
He was outplayed in the opener of this final but has looked so strong since. There’s no let up here as he saunters to a love hold to remain firmly on course for a seventh Wimbledon title.
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 6-4 0-1 KYRGIOS
One wonders how much energy Kyrgios took up monologuing in his chair while Djokovic went off court for a change of clothes.
The Aussie doesn’t show any fatigue though as he opens Set 3 with a game to 15.
RESULT: HEARTACHE FOR HEWITT
Alfie Hewett has expressed huge disappointment after losing the Wimbledon men’s wheelchair singles final 4-6 7-5 7-6 (10-5) to Japanese top seed Shingo Kunieda.

SET! – DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 6-4 KYRGIOS
Nole wobbles at 30-0 up but is delighted to see a couple of Kyrgios returns drop a fraction wide as he tightened up at 30-30.
Unsurprisingly the Serb hits the front to move within a set of his 21st major.

BREAK! – DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 5-4 KYRGIOS
Oh dear. Kyrgios implodes after aces 21 and 22 had put him 40-0 up.
Djokovic makes deuce with a forehand up the line and from there Nick blows his top. The Aussie chucks in a double fault and then drills a tame backhand into the net to undo all of his hard work.
Djokovic will now serve for the set as Kyrgios rants away in his chair. Talk about a waste of energy.
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 4-4 KYRGIOS
Too good. Djokovic does not give his opponent a look-in as he opens with an ace and licks the corner of the baseline with a peach of a forehand to achieve parity with aplomb.

Kyrgios’ mood isn’t being helped by incorrect calls. Twice he challenges when his serve is met by an ‘OUT!’ and on both occasions he is right. A third ace puts him charge from 30-30 and he’s quick to mutter his irritation at the umpire once again as he applies some scoreboard heat at an important point in the set.

Nole remains unfazed and is happy for Nick to help him along by blasting a couple of unforced forehand errors. The Serb double faults but it’s a 40-0 up and he quickly rights his wrong with another beauty of a drop shot. All square.
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 2-3 KYRGIOS
Well, that game pretty much had it all but the headline is that Kyrgios digs out another hold from deuce with a couple of sensational aces.
The 27-year-old throws in a tweener lob, corks a sizzling forehand winner but then sees a 40-15 lead slip away. He wants a second serve at 40-30 and promptly double faults. He vents at the umpire and gets a warning.
Djokovic watches on throughout this and is hoping for an implosion but Nick channels the anger in the right way to edge his nose back in front before taking to his chair to shout at the official a bit more.

It’s a nearly game from Nick as he can’t make inroads from a volley put-away for 0-15. The Aussie flashes just wide and then long off both flanks with Djokovic corking one of the best winners of the match with a laser-precise backhand down the line.
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 1-1 KYRGIOS
The game pretty much comes down to a drop shot as Djoker once again goes to the same well on a crucial point with a devastatingly good attempt that Nick can’t keep in on the pick-up at 30-30. The Serb edges to the game from there and it’s oh so finely poised right now.

You sense Kyrgios will need to win this set if he's to keep his dream alive.

What. A. Hold!
Kyrgios is in deep trouble at 30-40 but manages to knife away a volley under pressure after some trademark elasticity from his opponent on the defence.
The Serb refuses to go away and ups the ante further with brilliant crosscourt forehand but once again the Aussie finds his best to read an angled drop shot and stab a winner up the line.
The world No.40 found defends for his life and gets some serious angle on a crosscourt forehand to steer the game his way and slams the door shut with an ace down the T.

SET! - DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 KYRGIOS
The Serbinator locks down in the nick of time after a brilliant crosscourt pick-up from Kyrgios and a couple of nervy errors had given the Aussie three break back points.
He scraps hard to save all three and then conjures up a brave and truly magnificent drop shot on a fourth to avoid disaster.
The top seed doesn’t look back from there and achieves parity on his first set point.
DJOKOVIC 4-6 5-3 KYRGIOS
A 13th ace of the match and a massive second serve do the damage as Nick raises the bar from 30-30 to pose the serve-out question.
