Jonas Bjorkman aims to get 'perfectionist' Andy Murray more relaxed

Jonas Bjorkman says Andy Murray is a ‘perfectionist’ and wants him to be more relaxed as he looks to regain the Wimbledon title.
The Swede, who is assistant coach to Amelie Mauresmo, has an undefeated record while working with his new charge after the world No. 3 won the Aegon Championships last week and a clay court tournament in Munich last month.
Mauresmo, who is expecting her first child in August, was absent from Queen’s Club but will rejoin the team this week. And Bjorkman is enjoying the set-up.
"I am very happy to come in and be part of his team," said the 43-year-old. "I feel from the first day I came in, it's been a lot of fun. It has been a great start, but it is obviously a team effort. Everyone has done a phenomenal job.
"But the thing I really set out to do when I came on board was to get Andy a little bit more relaxed in his approach. He had a tendency to get a bit down on himself, which he didn't really need to do because he is such a good player.
"Andy is a perfectionist; he can hit 15 great shots, miss the 16th and then be frustrated, but I was exactly the same. One thing I wanted to do was to get Andy playing with a smile on his face, but I understand why he would get frustrated with himself.
"When I was losing or if I played bad, I was a bad person. If I played well, I was a good person. I was very harsh on myself and something I learnt during my career was to be more relaxed."
Following Wimbledon, Mauresmo is unlikely to rejoin the team until the Paris Masters in November.
"Amelie is in week 31 now," said Bjorkman. "After Wimbledon she has to go back and rest and get prepared for - I mean no offence to Andy - probably the biggest event she's been part of, to deliver a baby, which is very exciting. Then it will be a lot of travelling but a lot of fun."
