Wimbledon 2018 Order of Play, Day 10: Serena Williams, Ostapenko, Goerges, Kerber in semi-finals
Updated 13/07/2018 at 16:18 GMT
Here is the order of play for the tenth day of play at Wimbledon. You can watch a daily highlights show live on Eurosport.
THURSDAY'S HIGHLIGHTS
- 12-Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia) v 11-Angelique Kerber (Germany)
- 13-Julia Goerges (Germany) v 25-Serena Williams (U.S.)
MATCH OF THE DAY
- 12-Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia) v 11-Angelique Kerber (Germany)
Kerber might be the top-seeded player left in the draw, but ranking counts for little if all-or-nothng Ostapenko hits her straps. This has all the ingredients to be a classic, with two players who have already tasted success but are still extremely hungry for more and with the talent to do it.
POTENTIAL UPSET OF THE DAY
- 13-Julia Goerges (Germany) v 25-Serena Williams (U.S.)
The 29-year-old Goerges has never been in such good form in her career, but the German will need to be if she is to upset Serena Williams. Ignore the seeding, that counts for little; Serena is looking in fine fettle and is still very much the player to beat in the tournament. Goerges will have to get everything right against a player who brushed her aside just a month ago at the French Open.
