Pennetta's run come to end

Flavia Pennetta clay court winning streak of 15 matches came to an end at the Estoril Open on Tuesday. The Italian top seed lost in the first round to Ukraine qualifier Olga Savchuk 6-3 7-6 (10-8). Pennetta had come to Portugal having skipped the Miami Open with a foot injury.
The injury also forced her to miss Italy's Fed Cup tie against Russia over the weekend.
The victory was only Savchuk's third on the main tour and she will next face Argentina's Mariana Diaz-Oliva, a 6-1 6-1 winner against Canadian wild card Melanie Gloria.
Pennetta wasn't the only seeded casualty on day two of the clay-court event.
Eighth seed Virginia Ruano Pascual was knocked out by qualifier Lucie Safarova 7-5 6-7 (3-7) 6-0. Safarova takes on Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands in her second round match, who beat France's Severine Beltrame 3-6 6-4 6-3.
Spain's 10th-rank Arantxa Parra Santonja lost to Ludmila Cervanova of the Slovak Republic 6-4 6-0.
Fourth seed Na Li of China defeated Stephanie Cohen-Aloro of France 6-4 1-6 6-3, while Li's compatriot ninth seed Jie Zheng recovered to upend Slovak qualifier Henrieta Nagyova 3-6 6-2 6-4.
Li will take on Australian Nicole Pratt in her second round match, while Zheng will face German qualifier Martina Muller, a 6-4 6-4 winner against Marta Marrero.
Ukraine's Alyona Bondarenko awaits third seed Gisela Dulko . The Argentine beat Frenchwoman Stephanie Foretz 7-6 (7-2) 6-2.
Evening matches scheduled for Tuesday featuring second seed Dinara Safina and Claudine Schual were postponed due to darkness.
