With a tough field alongside him, Brownlee will start as Great Britain's sole male participant this weekend - and will be looking to build some momentum ahead of the Tokyo Test event in August.
In his first regulation triathlon of the year, he will also hope to catch the eye of selectors ahead of next year's Tokyo Olympic Games.
Ahead of the daunting race, Brownlee said: "It's great to be back out racing knowing I'm in good shape. Singapore [Super League] was definitely a confidence boost, but this weekend will be the real test.
"The course in Bermuda is new to me, but I know from watching the guys compete last year that it has its quirks and you never quite know how things will unfold.
"It's the start of an important year."
Brownlee will lead a five-strong British contingent to Bermuda - with four hopefuls in the women's race alongside him.
2018 World champion Vicky Holland, World Championship bronze medallist Georgia Taylor-Brown, Jess Learmonth and Non Stanford will represent Great Britain.
