AUSF celebrates IDUS 2017 with Asian Pacific Championships

LINGWU - On 20 September, the 2017 Asian-Pacific University Futsal & Cheerleading Championship continued. It was a special day for everybody in the field of higher education and sports, that is, the International Day of University Sport, which was proclaimed by UNESCO and celebrated in the world wide.

As FISU President Oleg Matytsin said, sport has the great power to unite the world, sport has to power to educate the youth, sport could teach us the values and qualities, that is, how to overcome your weakness, how to work in a team, to respect teammates and opponents, to play by the rules, and sport could help us to improve.

Together with all the participating teams from Asia and Oceania, a video clip on IDUS was watched and the initiative to launch this special day was introduced, through which the mission and philosophy of IDUS was passed to the participants present. The celebration of this special day could not only arouse the public awareness of the important role of sport, but also arouse the sense of pride and achievement among the sportsmen, who in return could pass their passion towards the sport to the world. The video of this celebration will be made and distributed among AUSF members later on.
