Poland finish on high

The inaugural World University Speed Skating Championship drew to a close in Zakopane with Poland winning a fifth individual gold medal.
Artur Nogal was the man to ensure the host nation finished on a high, claiming victory in the 500m, while compatriot Maciej Biega took silver. Norway's Even Johansen won bronze.
In the women's 500m race, Belarusian Kseniya Sadouskaya took the honours to notch her country's first gold of the championships. Second place went to Luiza Złotkowska of Poland and third to Norway's Rikke Jeppson.
The curtain was brought down on the week's action with the team pursuit races - Poland paced the women's event ahead of Kazakhstan and Norway while Norway went fastest in the men's, ahead of Poland and Kazakhstan.
