After Rio’s water polo pool joined the diving section in turning green, the solution to this problem has caused more issues for water polo players.

It appears organisers have overcompensated, with too much chlorine in the water leaving the Team USA water polo captain baffled.
“I could barely open my eyes for the final quarter,” said Tony Azevedo, after their victory over France on Wednesday.
“This is the Olympic Games and they are putting so much chlorine in the water that people can’t see. You can’t have that.”
Rio officials insisted there was “absolutely no risk”, nor any ill effects, despite complaints from both USA and France.

The reason for the pools turning green remains unclear, with Rio spokesman Mario Andrada claiming that a lot of people in the pool had caused a chemical imbalance.
The diving and water polo pools should be clear from Thursday.
