Oscar Nogues bounced back from the disappointment of race one to claim race two of the Eurocup Clio event at the Nürburgring.
Having finished seventh in the opening race of the weekend on Saturday, despite starting from pole position, Nogues hit back to take the win on Sunday.
Starting fourth on the grid, the Catalan driver took his third victory of the season ahead of team-mate Alex Morgan and Eric Trémoulet (Vic’Team).
He also reinforced his position as leader in the general classification with a 27-point lead from Massimiliano Pedalà, who finished fifth.
In race one, Pedalà claimed his maiden victory of the season after moving through the field from 17th on the grid.
Starting on slick tyres on a drying track surface, the Italian driver’s gamble paid off in taking the victory ahead of wild-card Tomas Pekar (Lema Racing Team) and Facundo Della Motta (Pujolaracing).
