Rally Argentina has been thrown into chaos after Friday's opening seven stages were cancelled for logistical reasons.
The problem centred on Thursay's opening SuperSpecial stage at the River Plate football stadium in Buenos Aires - 400 miles away from the nearest 'real' test of the first leg.
Rally organisers had planned to get the crews to Cordoba overnight in three cargo planes, but heavy thunderstorms prevented one of the planes from leaving the capital, meaning many officials and some teams were left stranded at the airport (pictured).
As a result, the FIA rally stewards issued a statement on Friday declaring that stages two, three, four, five and six had all been scrapped with the rally due to resume with with three evening stages.
Later in the afternoon however, organisers decided to cancel stages seven and eight as well.
