Lara Gut secures fifth World Cup win of 2015

Home favourite Lara Gut brought the curtain down on 2015 in style as she claimed giant slalom World Cup victory in Lienz, Austria.
After the first run Gut found herself sat in second place as she was 0.02 seconds back on Slovenian Ana Drev, who was looking for her best ever individual World Cup finish having come seventh in Courcheval last week.
But while 30-year-old Drev failed to finish her second run Gut made no mistake, coming home fourth fastest for a best combined total time of 2:06.00 minutes.
The victory was her fifth of 2015 which is the most in a calendar year for the Austrian, while she leads the overall World Cup standings on 558 points, 158 ahead of American Lindsey Vonn.
Completing the podium in Lienz were Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein in second and German Viktoria Rebensburg in third.
