Norwegian Jansrud was back in action having claimed victory in the downhill on Saturday, and he was in no mood to let anyone else check out the view from the top step of the podium.
With two-time winner Aksel-Lund Svindal sidelined after tearing his Achilles tendon, it was up to Jansrud to keep Norway's edge during the first World Cup stop of the season and he duly delivered, winning 1:32.02 minutes.
He was joined on the podium by youngsters Matthias Mayer, of Austria, who won the gold medal in Sochi for the downhill event, and Dominik Paris, of Italy, who finished fourth in Saturdays World Cup event, both finishing within two-hundredths-of-a-second of each other with times of 1:32.31 and 1:32.33 respectively.
The results mean Jansrud sits atop the World Cup rankings on 216 points, with Austrian Marcel Hirscher second on 180 and Germany's Fritz Dopfer third, 60 points further back.
