Warm weather in Switzerland forced Alpine ski World Cup organisers to call off two more races on Wednesday. A women's downhill and super-G in the Swiss resort of Laax, scheduled for December 20 and 21, would not go ahead because of a lack of snow on the power part of the course, the International Ski Federation said.
The World Cup in Europe has already been severely disrupted this month with races in France, the Czech Republic and Slovakia called off because of insufficient snow.
Some races are being moved to Italy this weekend but the FIS are still seeking a new venue for two women's slaloms.
The FIS said in a statement from its Swiss headquarters that it hoped to announce a replacement venue for Laax "as soon as possible".
