Double Olympic champion Tina Maze was left celebrating her first World Cup win of the season as she stormed to victory in the women's slalom in Levi, Finland.
The 31-year-old Slovenian opened her World Cup season with a 22nd-place finish in the giant slalom in Soelden last month.
But she was back on top form in Finland on Saturday, topping the standings after the first run before maintaining her advantage to clock an overall winning time of 1:55.15 minutes.
Maze, who won downhill and giant slalom gold at Sochi 2014, was 0.34 seconds ahead of Frida Hansdotter of Sweden with Austria's Kathrin Zettel completing the podium for the season's opening slalom World Cup race.
Olympic slalom champion Mikaela Shiffrin struggled to match the form that earned her a joint win in the giant slalom last month, finishing down in 11th.
Sunday sees the men take centre stage with the first slalom of the season also taking place in Levi.
