Dorfmeister, 33, won her first Olympic gold in the downhill last week and is retiring after this season.
The overall World Cup leader in the discipline and and this year's World Cup champion in the downhill, Dorfmeister sped down the Fraiteve Olympique piste in one minute and 32.47 seconds to beat Kostelic by 0.27 seconds.

"To have two golds is like a dream, it's unbelievable. I haven't taken it in yet," said Dorfmeister. "It really is the best to be able to end your career on the top.
"After her victory-run, Dorfmeister stood motionless at the finish line unaware of her victory until Kostelic came over to congratulate her.
"I had no idea when I got to the end because there was only my name on the screen. I only realised what had happened when Janica came over and said 'you've won'," the Austrian told ORF television.
"I had such fast skis today -- they were so fast they were hard to keep control of but I had such a good feeling throughout the race," added Dorfmeister who wore bib No. 30.
World No. 1 Kostelic, winner of her record fourth Alpine gold in Saturday's combined event, skied wearing bib No. 25 and had to wait anxiously until Dorfmeister raced to see if she would win her second gold of the Games.
She was not planning to race in the super-G, which was originally scheduled for yesterday then postponed twice, because of illness, but decided last night to compete.
"I'm really happy, maybe more than with my gold in combined. It was kind of expected that I would get a medal in combined but with me in super-G you never know," she said.
"Sometimes I'm 25th, sometimes I'm first, so this is kind of a surprise."
Defending World Cup champion Anja Paerson was again disappointed with her performance, finishing 12th.
"I don't understand what happened today, I was expecting the course to be faster," Sweden's Paerson said. "The sun came out and the slope was much slower and so it was a kind of strange course.
"Now I will concentrate and train for the slalom," added Paerson.
She earned bronze in both the downhill and the combined events and plans to ski in all five Olympic disciplines.
