Cutler's contract places him on the number two NFL broadcast team at Fox
Cutler spent the past eight seasons with the Bears. But he was let go in March and no serious suitors emerged. Cutler has not officially retired from the NFL, however.
The network was seeking a replacement for John Lynch after the latter became the San Francisco 49ers' general manager in the offseason.
Cutler will be part of a three-man booth with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis.

The Baltimore Ravens signed five of their first seven picks -- including first-round cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Humphrey, who starred at Alabama, was linked to a four-year deal after being selected with the 16th overall pick in last week's draft. The 20-year-old is the son of former Denver Broncos running back Bobby Humphrey.
Baltimore also signed second-round linebacker Tyus Bowser, fourth-round guard Nico Siragusa, fifth-round offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor and sixth-round safety Chuck Clark.

The Carolina Panthers signed four more 2017 draft picks -- second-round wide receiver Curtis Samuel, third-round defensive end Daeshon Hall, fifth-round cornerback Corn Elder and seventh-round kicker Harrison Butker -- ahead of Friday's rookie minicamp.
The Panthers' entire draft class of 2017 is signed. All drafted rookies get four-year contracts.
Running back Christian McCaffrey on Thursday became the first first-round pick from this year's draft to sign his rookie deal. He was selected number eight overall. (Editing by Gene Cherry)
