Announced that they would be taking part in the World Series of Boxing for the first time earlier this month, the British team began their maiden season with a win over America last week.
Brits Joe Cordina, Anthony Fowler and Sean McGoldrick as well as Uaine Fa and Zlatko Ledic made way for Joe Joyce, Andrew Selby, Joe Ward, John Joe Nevin and Evans in Wales.
But the result was the same with promising heavyweight Joyce getting Britain off to the perfect start against Italy securing a fourth-round knockout over Matteo Modugno.
Bantamweight Selby, who won world flyweight silver in 2011 before losing in the quarter-finals at the London 2012 Olympics, then beat Daniele Limone by a unanimous decision.
Reigning European light heavyweight champion Ward gave Britain an unsurpassable 3-0 lead after winning each of the five rounds in his contest with Imre Szello.
Italy won the fourth contest as Olympic bantamweight silver medallist Nevin lost on a split decision to Branimir Stankovic in their lightweight bout before middleweight Evans beat Michel Tavares.
Courtesy of their two wins Britain are now top of Group B and will bid to maintain their 100 per-cent record when they travel to Kazakhstan next month.
