Floyd Mayweather deserved to beat Manny Pacquiao - and the stats prove it

Floyd Mayweather won 'the fight of the century' via a unanimous points decision over Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, and the official stats support the result.
Pacquiao claimed after the contest that he felt he should have won because he was the more aggressive of the two, but his vastly-inferior punching stats did not paint a flattering picture.
Indeed, the official stats from Compubox patently showed that the American threw and landed more punches than his opponent.
Mayweather also landed more 'power punches' and threw 267 jabs compared to Pacquiao's 193, landing 67 while only being hit with 18.
Pacquiao surprised interviewer Max Kellerman when he said in the ring after the bout: "I thought I won the fight."
Kellerman responded incredulously, repeating: "You thought you won the fight? Why?"
Pacquiao took issue with Mayweather's defensive style, saying: "He didn’t do nothing, he was always running ... I got him many times with solid punches ... I can handle his power."
Unfortunately for Pacquiao, the judges disagreed. One scored the bout 118-110 in Mayweather's favour, while the other two had it 116-112.
