Great Britain lightweight boxer Natasha Jonas will find number one seed Katie Taylor barring her quest for gold at London 2012.
The Liverpool-born southpaw was drawn against Quanitta Underwood from USA, and if successful will face top seed Taylor in the quarter finals.
Middleweight Savannah Marshall and flyweight Nicola Adams have first round byes.
Team captain and light welterwight Tom Stalker can plot a realistic route to a medal but does have the formidable presence of Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk - the man who beat him at last year's world championships - in his half of the draw.
Lowestoft middleweight boxer Anthony Ogogo was left with mixed feelings after he was drawn against Junior Castillo Martinez of the Dominican Republic.
However, if he does make it past the lowly Martinez, Ogogo has world number one and top seed Ieygev Khytrov lying in wait for him.
The Ukrainian, who was world champion last year, has received a bye in the first round.
At flyweight, number two seed Andrew Selby was handed a first-round bye and could face Ireland's Michael Conlan in the semi-finals.
Luke Campbell was also handed a first round bye at bantamweight and will be happy to have many of his biggest rivals on the opposite side of the draw.
Welterweight Fred Evans faces Algerian Ilyas Abbadi and could fight Lithuanian Egidijus Kavaliauskas in the second round who stopped him at the world championships.
Super heanyweight Anthony Joshua will face Erislandy Savon in the first round while Commonwealth silver medallist Josh Taylor fights Brazilian Robson Conceicao at lightweight.
