This Wednesday, April 23, former IBF 140 lbs. world champion Juan Urango will battle Carlos Wilfredo Vilches in an IBF junior welterweight eliminator, and 154 pounders Joe Greene and Joshua Okine will hook up in the ten round co-feature to be seen on ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights - from the Seminole Hard Rock Arena in Hollywood, Florida.
Urango (19-1-1, 15 KOs) is hoping for another world title shot after TKO wins over Nasser Athumani and Marty Robbins to close out 2007. One fight away from a championship bout, the 27-year-old southpaw prepares for Vilches, a native of San Rafael, Argentina, Vilches (52-7-2, 31 KOs) has been one of the more consistent contenders in the world at 140 pounds for much of his 11 year pro career.
