Somerset have signed former Australia Test opener Chris Rogers for the 2016 LV= County Championship season.
Rogers, 38, who retired from Test cricket after the recent Ashes series, will be joining his fifth county team on a one-year deal.
The left-hander previously played for Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire before a four-year stint at Middlesex, where he was captain until 2014.
The former Western Australia batsman has amassed 11,631 runs in 135 domestic first-class cricket matches in England, averaging over 50 and scoring at least one double-century at each County Championship side he has played for.
"I'm really pleased to be joining a club of the stature of Somerset. I have always enjoyed playing cricket in England and as soon as I heard that Somerset were interested I wanted to make it happen," he told the club's official website.
Teenage wicketkeeper Ryan Davies has also signed for the Taunton-based side from Kent on a three-year contract.
