Edward Theuns of Trek-Segafredo won the sprint on stage four of the Binckbank Tour ahead of Marko Kump and Tim Merlier in Lanaken.

World champion Peter Sagan - bouyed by victories on stage one and three - came up just short of a 100th professional victory as he was boxed in another dramatic sprint finish that Theuns won.

Yves Lampaert went for broke in the closing stages, but was reeled in with 100m as the sprinters grabbed hold of the final shakedown.

Stefan Kung protects his slender lead in GC of four seconds over Maciej Bodnar with Tom Dumoulin and Sagan a further second back.
