Laura Kenny has been forced to withdraw from Six Day Berlin and the British Track Cycling Championships due to a hamstring injury.
The four-time Olympic champion had confirmed last week that she would race at the Berlin Velodrome this week, and contest both the points and scratch races as the national champs, in Manchester, later this month.
However, in the intervening period she has picked up a hamstring injury that will keep her out of both events.
A statement from British Cycling said: "British Cycling's Laura Kenny has withdrawn from the forthcoming Six Day Berlin and HSBC UK National Track Championships having sustained a hamstring strain.
"Laura is undergoing treatment and hopes to return to full fitness soon."
Despite Kenny's withdrawal, there will still be two British Olympic champions in action in Berlin, with Katie Archibald and Philip Hindes racing in the women's omnium and sprinters' competitions, respectively.
