Lars Petter Nordhaug claims Tour de Yorkshire glory

BMC rider Ben Hermans won stage three of the Tour de Yorkshire in Leeds as Team Sky rider Lars Petter Nordhaug claimed overall victory.
With over one million spectators turning out for the event, Nordhaug won the first Tour de Yorkshire with Hermans claiming stage success after attacking with 10km remaining.
Nordhaug managed to hold off a few late attacks to finish sixth in claiming the blue and yellow jersey of the overall winner.
Greg Van Avermaet finished second on the day to ensure a Belgian BMC racing one-two.
