Laura Trott sits second heading into the final session of the Track Cycling World Championships and will look to take an omnium medal home in the final session in Paris.
Trott trails Annette Edmonson by 14 points while Jolien D'Hoore is four points behind the Briton on 160 points.
The Olympic champion was third in the flying lap but maintained her position on the coattails of the Australian.
Elsewhere Jess Varnish narrowly missed out on progression in the women's keirin after failing to make her way through the repechages.
