The Olympic Champion will lead Team Wiggins in the Revolution Elite Championship and will be looking to start the competition strongly against championship rivals including Team Sky, JLT Condor, One Pro Cycling, Orica GreenEDGE and defending champions Maloja Pushbikers.
“I’m looking forward to representing Team Wiggins in the Revolution Championship” he said.
The next event comes in the middle of a busy period between the Euro Track Championships and Cali World Cup so hopefully I’ll have some good form going into the Revolution event and we can get some points on the board.
Wiggins featured at the opening round of the series in Derby where he partnered with Mark Cavendish in the Madison. For the start of the Elite Championship at round 2 he will be joined by team mate Owain Doull creating a strong partnership to kick off the competition.
They will face tough opposition including Ed Clancy (JLT Condor), Adam Blythe, Glenn O’Shea (Orica GreenEDGE), Christian Grasmann, Marcel Kalz (Maloja Pushbikers) with more riders to be confirmed.
Following the announcement of a new broadcast partnership with Eurosport the Revolution events will be televised live this season with coverage of round 2 on October 24 between 18:45 and 21:00 on Eurosport 1 (19:45 to 22:00 CET).
You can also see Bradley Wiggins live on Eurosport in the European Track Championships, starting next Wednesday.
