Three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond to appear at London Bike Show

British Eurosport is sponsoring the Cycling Performance Theatre at The London Bike Show which this year promises to deliver the best line up of special guests the show has ever seen.

Greg LeMond, three-time winner of the Tour de France, will be at the Show on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th February. On Friday Greg will take part in a Q&A with author Richard Moore, whose book, Slaying the Badger, details LeMond’s battle with Bernard Hinault to become the first American to win the Tour. On Saturday Greg will be talking about his return to cycling after 20 years and his experience back at the Tour de France with Eurosport. Both sessions are sure to provide interesting insights into the life of a cycling legend.
Meanwhile, the show has also confirmed current female DH MTB World Cup Champ and World Champion Manon Carpenter and Team Wiggle Honda Manager Rochelle Gilmore - who will both be speaking on Thursday 12th Jan - the event’s designated Ladies Day, prior to the Total Women’s Cycling Awards - Sponsored by Velo Vixen taking centre stage.
Continuing with the theme of the World’s best downhill riders, Steve Peat, former DH World Cup Champion and three-time World Champion, and fellow Santa Cruz Syndicate rider and current male DH MTB World Cup Champion Josh Bryceland, AKA Ratboy, will be coming to the show on Friday 13th February and taking part in Q&A’s in the theatre.
Other speakers confirmed include former track cyclist & Olympic gold medalist Jason Queally, former England midfielder Geoff Thomas, who has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity through riding Le Tour routes and some of the toughest routes on the planet, James Golding, who will talking about his incredible journeys cycling across Australia and the USA after being told he had just a 5% chance of survival, and former Tour pro Stephen Roche.
UK domestic teams Team Velosport - Pasta -Montegrappa Aprire and Velosure Starley Primal will also be doing team launches at the Show on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
With Great Britain’s most successful Olympian Sir Chris Hoy already confirmed to be at the Show on Saturday 14th - it’s looking set to be a packed few days at London’s ExCeL. With all talks free on entry and 100s of the top bike brands in attendance it’s going to be a fantastic Show.
The stage will be hosted by Anna Glowinski, Rebecca Charlton and British Eurosport commentator Anthony McCrossan.
