Tour de France 2015: Social media gushes over legendary Lacets de Montvernier road

Lacets de Montvernier is one of the most famous and beautiful roads in cycling.

The road, which took six years to construct and was completed in 1934, is being used on the Tour de France route for the first time.

Several stunning photos of the Tour's stage 18 were taking on Thursday, with the Eurosport cameras capturing the beauty which many have compared to a 'dropped shoelace from the sky'.
