Sir Bradley Wiggins admits his bid to break the world hour record this weekend was a no brainer, with the chance to once again etch his name in the history books catching his attention.

The 35-year-old will aim to break the record most recently set by fellow Brit Alex Dowsett when he takes to the track at London's Lee Valley VeloPark on Sunday.
That mark stands at 52.937km with Wiggins previously stating he wishes to put the record 'out of reach.'
Wiggins already has a mountain of accolades to his name, including winning a fourth gold and seventh Olympic medal at London 2012, just days after becoming the first British winner of the Tour de France.
And hoping to follow in the footsteps of several cycling legends who have attempted the record, including Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, Wiggins admits the allure of breaking another record proved too much.
"On top of my previous achievements, to do this record would kind of be the icing on the cake in some respects," he told BBC Radio 4.
"Had I never gone for it, you perhaps would have been remembered for well he never actually attempted the records.
"It's something that can stand the test of time. It can be compared in years to come really. When people talk about you in years to come, of what you achieved, they'll be saying he won the Tour (de France), he was the hour record holder. It's got a nice ring to it.
"There's not many riders who have won the Tour and got the hour record. There's about four or five, so it's quite a unique club.
"I'm confident I'll go through the process and do what I have to do. Historically that's been enough and I've got over the finish line.
"On this occasion we've done everything we need to from a training perspective and we're in the final few days now and Sunday is what it's all about and we're looking forward to it."
