Dick Advocaat plans to make a swift decision over whether he accepts Sunderland's offer of a new contract after guiding the Black Cats to Barclays Premier League survival.

The Dutchman, who revealed the offer on Friday, said a two or three-year contract was on the table following Sunday's 3-1 loss at Chelsea.
"I have to be honest to myself and to everybody about what I will do for the future," said Advocaat, who was emotional after sealing survival with Wednesday night's goalless draw at Arsenal.
"They offered me already two or three years."
Asked when he will make his decision, Advocaat added: "As quickly as possible, because the club must know. They have to go on as well. One way or the other way.
"There's no sense to discuss it now. Let's wait until next week and then I'll make the decision."
Advocaat may have a say in his successor, if he chooses to move on.
"Obviously if I don't stay the questions will come and I will definitely give an answer on that," he said.
Irrespective of who is in charge, Advocaat believes the Sunderland squad needs to be changed.
"You need a better balanced squad," he said.
