Former Germany goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand is training with second division Eintracht Frankfurt as he looks to rebuild his career.
Hildebrand, 32, was Stuttgart number one when they won the Bundesliga title in 2007, but he immediately left for Valencia where he was initially first choice but became marginalised when boss Ronald Koeman departed.
Since he has had unsuccessful spells at Hoffenheim and Sporting Lisbon - where he failed to make an appearance last season - and is now considering a second-tier club.
"I have not ruled out the second division," he told the Bild newspaper. "I have considered a few options from abroad, but have had two bad experiences there.
"I am now just working with humility. You only really recognise mistakes after you have committed them. I have had a lot of time to consider things and realise what went wrong.
"The best thing is now being able to train with a team again, and I do know a few players here too."
Frankfurt, who were relegated last season, lie fifth in the second division and are unbeaten after eight games.
