Former Bayern Munich midfielder Stefan Effenberg is convinced Pep Guardiola will leave the Allianz Arena in 2016, and believes Jurgen Klopp would be a good replacement.

Guardiola’s current deal with the German champions is due to run out at the end of next season and, thus far, he has been unwilling to discuss his future.
The former Barcelona coach has been heavily linked with a move away from Bavaria in June 2016, with reports suggesting he could replace Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City, whilst media in Mexico are reporting that locals have started a petition to get him to take over their national team – though that is surely more tongue-in-cheek.
Effenberg, who won three league titles and one Champions League title with Bayern during two spells with the club, feels Guardiola’s exit next year is inevitable, but he claims that former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp would be an ideal replacement.

"I am pretty certain that Guardiola will no longer be in charge of Bayern after 2016," Effenberg told Sky.
"Who could replace him? I am thinking about Jurgen Klopp. He is definitely an alternative for Guardiola in Munich."
Bayern are currently preparing for the DFL Supercup match against Wolfsburg, and Effenberg believes his former side will be out for revenge following their humiliating 4-1 defeat at the hands of their fellow Bundesliga team last season.
"Bayern will take the game seriously,” he added. “They will still be a tad annoyed that they lost 4-1. They will want to get their revenge."
