Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski collected four certificates from the Guinness Book of Records to commemorate his crazy five-goal blitz against Wolfsburg.

The Pole only joined proceedings at half-time, but still managed to find the net five times – all in a ridiculous eight minutes and 59 seconds.

Lewandowski now holds the record for fastest hat-trick (three minutes, 22 seconds), fastest four-goal haul (five minutes, 42 seconds), the fastest five-goal salvo and the first player to score five times as a substitute in the German league.

"It was an historic night for me," said Lewandowski.

"It took me a couple of days and weeks for it to sink in, my family were almost more excited than I was."

However, despite notching his fifth with 30 minutes to play, Lewandowski was unable to add a sixth to break Dieter Mueller's 38-year-old record of six goals in a single match.

"Someone above clearly thought five goals was enough for me," added Lewandowski, who has maintained his scintillating form on Bundesliga, Champions League and international fronts.
