Cheltenham ended Bromley's stirring run of form with a 2-1 Vanarama National League win at Hayes Lane.
The home side started on the front foot, and Moses Emmanuel set up Pierre Joseph-Dubois to fire against the post from a good opportunity.
Cheltenham swung the momentum in the second half. Jack Munns hit the bar, and then Billy Waters gave the visitors the lead after Kyle Storer's long shot was parried into his path.
Anthony Cook thought he had salvaged a point for Bromley when he netted a penalty two minutes from time, but the Robins roared up the other end.
Asa Hall pounced on a loose ball in injury time to put his side within two points of top spot.
