Nelson, whose real name is Simon Brodkin, somehow made it past FIFA’s accreditation and security checks and stormed the stage in Zurich.
As the photos below show, Nelson managed to cover Blatter in cash before being whisked off by FIFA henchmen.
And here's video of the incident
Brodkin, who had a BBC TV comedy series called 'Lee Nelson's well good show', was heard to joke that the 2026 World Cup would be going to North Korea.
The same reporter revealed back in May that Brodkin had tried and failed to get into another FIFA press conference - so presumably this stunt has been long in the making.
Brodkin was taken away by Swiss police.
Brodkin is prolific at these kind of stunts and recently made headlines when getting onto stage with Kanye West at Glastonbury.
He was arrested in March 2013 after running onto the pitch at Everton's Goodison Park and attempting to warm-up with Manchester City prior to a Premier League game.
In June 2014, he attempted to join the England squad as they flew to Florida for a pre-World Cup training camp.
Blatter was taken off stage but returned with a strange comment about the incident: "I called my late-mother and she said it's a lack of education," he said.
