Darikwa signs for Burnley

The 23-year-old full-back has joined up with Sean Dyche's side after the Clarets agreed an undisclosed fee with Sky Bet League One outfit Chesterfield.

Burnley manager Dyche admitted he has been tracking Darikwa's progress for some time.

"We are delighted to add Tendayi to the squad," said Dyche.

"He is someone we have had our eye on for a while and after playing against Chesterfield last weekend, his performance confirmed out thoughts and made the decision for us.

"He is definitely one who can push for a place in the team now, but also one for the future because we are confident we can improve him as a player because he has a great desire to learn."
