Dave Flitcroft and Leon Clarke earn September nominations for Bury

Bury boss Dave Flitcroft is among the nominees to be named League One Manager of the Month.

Flitcroft's side won all five of their fixtures during September, including tough trips to Sheffield United, Walsall and Peterborough, and currently sit third in the table.

Southend manager Phil Brown, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Burton and Colchester chief Tony Humes are also in the running for the award, which will be announced on Friday morning.

Bury striker Leon Clarke could make it a double celebration for the Shakers as he has been nominated for the Player of the Month award.
