Everton maintained their unbeaten record in Europe by holding Lille to a 0-0 draw in France.
Neither team did enough to win the match, but Roberto Martinez's side will be happy enough with their lot after remaining top of Group H with five points from three games.
The game was overshadowed by trouble between Everton fans - with around 6,000 supporters making the trip - and local police prior to the match starting at 7pm (local time).
They are one point clear of Wolfsburg, who won 4-2 at bottom side Krasnodar, with Lille on three points before they visit Goodison Park in a fortnight's time.
Tim Howard had few saves of note to make for the visiting side while Aiden McGeady might have won it in the second half for Everton, but Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama got down to make a solid stop after substitute Romelu Lukaka had played provider with a neat pass.
KEY MOMENTS
23' - CHANCE! Gueye with a blistering hit from from distance, but the shot is inches wide. Really, realy bright stuff from Lille.
65' - CHANCE! Lukaku immediately involved. Lovely pass into the path of McGeady, but his effort is stopped well by Enyeama.

TALKING POINT
Were these two points lost or a point gained by Everton? Certainly a point gained. Everton produced a solid performance. And were slightly likelier to win it. Lille are a decent side, and the return leg should be interesting at Goodison Park.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Simon Kjaer (Lille) Strolled through the match, and the Danish defender certainly looks like a guy who could handle himself in the Premier League. What do you think Roberto Martinez?
