David De Gea will start on the bench for Manchester United in their Europa League semi-final first leg against Celta Vigo.
The Spanish goalkeeper, who is first choice for domestic matches, is replaced by Sergio Romero who has been the No 1 for the European campaign so far this season.
However, United have placed more importance on winning the trophy as they are not guaranteed a Champions League spot by gaining a top-four position in the Premier League, so De Gea's omission is still surprising.
Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly also start for Jose Mourinho's men in Spain after returning from injury. Marcus Rashford starts up front in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has recently undergone knee surgery, and Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian come in for Luke Shaw and Ashley Young.
Celta Vigo: Sergio, Hugo Mallo, Cabral, Roncaglia, Jonny, Wass, Radoja, Hernandez, Aspas, Guidetti, Sisto. Subs: Villar, Fontas, Marcelo Diaz, Bongonda, Beauvue, Jozabed, Sergi Gomez.
United: Romero, Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Darmian; Herrera, Fellaini, Lingard, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Rashford. Subs: De Gea, Smalling, Young, Carrick, Mata, Martial, Rooney.
