Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos faces a minimum of a month on the sidelines.

The Brazilian full back suffered an injury during the Copa del Rey draw with Real Betis in Seville on Thursday.

After hurting his right thigh muscle, the South American was replaced by Raul Bravo after only 11 minutes of the cup clash.

The initial examinations suggest he will be out for a minimum of four weeks and is a doubt for the UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

With Marcelo also injured, Bravo is the only real option open to coach Fabio Capello.
