Barcelona have placed Carlo Ancelotti on a shortlist of potential replacements should Luis Enrique decide to leave the club this summer.

The Catalans want to cover all eventualities in case of Enrique’s possible departure and the Real Madrid boss is just one of the names suggested, according to El Pais, who cite sources on Barca’s sporting committee.
The Blaugrana hierarchy are understood to be impressed at the way the Italian handles big name players, having already achieved that with Zinedine Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Didier Drogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among others.
However, the 55-year-old wants to continue at the Santiago Bernabeu and any contact from Barca would need to come on an informal basis from Ariedo Braida, the club’s international sporting director, who worked alongside Ancelotti at Milan for a decade, with the pair still on excellent terms.
OUR VIEW
We are not sure how much credit to give this one. Or if Ancelotti could possibly considering switching from one of Spain's leading two clubs to their fiercest foes within the space of week. Would it be worth it? Milan have been touted as a possible destination for the Italian if he is paid off by Madrid. It would be an outrageous development if he somehow wound up at the Camp Nou. Even if stranger things have happened and continue to happen in football.
