The Swede’s contract with the Ligue 1 outfit expires in 2016 and Laurent Perrin, a journalist with the publication, believes Neymar is in pole position to succeed him.
“Neymar is PSG’s No 1 target,” declared Perrin, who says the Brazilian is not the only target for the French club.
“If Messi made himself available then PSG would not hesitate to go after him. There is no doubt they would be able to give him everything he wants.
“Leo will be 29 years old in 2016 and knows that the red carpet would be put out for him and it would be filled with gold.
“However, everything would depend on him,” he added.
OUR VIEW
Pure and utter speculation and that was this should be treated as. Do PSG want Neymar? Yes! Are they one of the few clubs in world football who could put together a package to sign him? Yes! Will they get him? Highly, highly unlikely. There are three parts to any deal – the agreement of the two clubs and the agreement of the player. As it stands, neither Barcelona or Neymar are interested in getting any deal done so it won’t happen.
