Lyon interested in Basta

Basta's manager Milan Calasan gave an interview in Blic claiming that several French clubs are interested in signing the 22-year-old, including Nantes, Nice and Lyon.

"Nantes and Nice would like to sign Dusan Basta," said Calasan.

"The latest news are that even Lyon started to get interested in him. Meanwhile [Crvena Zvezda] president Dragan Stojkovic is not ready yet to let him leave during the winter transfer period.

"The clubs I mentioned would like to sign Basta already now and they will certainly try to negotiate a deal with Stojkovic."

Basta - who has been tagged the "Serbian Nedved" - became a regular feature in the Crvena Zvezda first team in 2004/5 before earning a call up to the Serbian National team making his debut against Spain in March 2005.
