Marco Verratti 'worth €100m’ claims agent

The Italian international joined Paris Saint-Germain from Pescare in 2012, and though his representative assures the 22-year-old is happy in France, he claims Verratti is worth €100m.

“I hear here and there that Pogba is worth €100m,” Donato Di Campli told France Football.

“For me, Verratti is worth that. We’ve seen huge amounts spent on certain players abroad, and right now he’s probably the best Italian player.

“Marco wants to stay, but the important thing is that his fair value is recognised.”

France Football believes that Di Campli is looking to renegotiate his client’s contract, with a new deal worth around €6m per season.

The magazine notes that if such a deal were to be agreed, Verratti’s salary would have increased sevenfold since his move to Paris.
