It could be a bad week for Lewis Hamilton and Alan Pardew with both men in hot water with their superiors, whilst there's also trouble for Jose Mourinho. It's Monday's Paper Round.

Hamilton set for Mercedes chop?

Lewis Hamilton pulled out all the stops to try to stop Nico Rosberg from winning the Formula 1 World Championship, even if it meant disobeying direct orders from his team. Speaking after the race Toto Wolff was evidently conflicted about whether Hamilton would face a suspension because of the uniqueness of the situation. However the Mail, amongst other papers, report that there is a good chance that Hamilton could actually see his contract ripped up, depending on how the Mercedes' bosses view the incident.
Paper Round's view: Paper Round sympathises with Mercedes and the core values they build their team upon. However surely they have to look at the broader picture here? Hamilton was fighting for a world championship, it's not easy to just give that up. At worst Mercedes should just give Hamilton a little slap on the wrists. Would they really risk sacrificing one of the grid's better, if not best, drivers over this?

Pards on the brink

The new American owners of Crystal Palace will want to see a visible change from manager Alan Pardew in terms of his approach in training and the response of the players as they consider the Englishman's future. Palace's catastrophic 5-4 defeat to Swansea City on the weekend was their sixth in a row and they have the poorest points per game ratio of any professional side in English football in 2016. Former England manager Sam Allardyce is mentioned as being an option for Palace.
Paper Round's view: Poor old Pards, he just can't catch a break can he? We'll just ignore the fact that a school team could defend better than Palace at the moment. It's worrying to read in the article that Pardew told the owners that the team had been drilled extensively defensively, Paper Round suggests the evidence against Swansea begs to differ. It's hard to see what can change for Palace and given Allardyce's record of keeping teams in the Premier League he may be too attractive an option to pass up.

Mourinho looking at another ban

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho looks likely to receive a two-game ban after he was sent off for the second time in three league matches at Old Trafford. Mourinho was sent to the stands by referee Jonathan Moss during his team's 1-1 draw with West Ham on Sunday after Paul Pogba was booked for diving. Mourinho took exception to the decision and kicked a water bottle down the touchline. The FA are awaiting the full report from Moss but given the recent nature of his last ban Mourinho is likely to have to endure a longer absence from the touchline this time. Depending on when the ban is imposed Mourinho could be missing for the crucial game at home to Tottenham Hotspur on December 11.
Paper Round's view: This is all getting a bit boring now. Yes Mourinho's connection with the water bottle itself was superb and should be credited but does he really need to overreact to every little thing? It increasingly looks like a manager who is losing his grip, and he's only been at United for a few months. Perhaps the way to shake Mourinho out this slumber is a big ban out of the blue. Should the FA ban him for say, five or six matches, then the Portuguese might be persuaded to consider his behaviour and focus more on his team's obvious shortcomings. It's just a thought...

Poch sends Sissoko warning

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has sent a warning to summer signing Moussa Sissoko, saying the Frenchman has to learn "the Spurs way." Pochettino went on to say that just because Spurs spend a lot of money on a player it does not automatically guarantee that he will be in the starting line-up on a regular basis.
Paper Round's view: Paper Round will resist the urge to bring up the mention of the "Spurs way" but will instead focus on Pochettino's very stark message. Sissoko has always been a frustrating player in terms of consistency and his past few games have been extremely poor, even though they have been on TV! Pochettino's comments do little to prevent us from believing that this was a Daniel Levy orchestrated deal to spite Everton rather than a transfer the manager truly wanted.
