Benfica to keep Rocha

In an official statement, the Portuguese club said: "We have had no contact with clubs for the sale of this player or any other after the transfer speculation published today in the media."

Rocha himself, questioned after training, replied: "It is normal for any player to want to play in England today.

"[However] to know more about such matters it is necessary to speak with Benfica."

There have been rumours of a difference in valuation between Benfica and Spurs. The former have reportedly demanded five or six million euros for the player, above what Spurs are said to be willing to pay.
