Louis van Gaal and David De Gea ‘haven’t spoken for months’, claims Spanish newspaper

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has endured a complete breakdown in his relationship with manager Louis van Gaal, according to a report in Spain.

AS claim the Spaniard, who has been repeatedly linked with a switch to Real Madrid, has not spoken to Van Gaal for months.
“What is alienating De Gea from Manchester and nearer to Madrid is his bad relationship with Van Gaal,” claims the report.
“They have not spoken to each other for a few months.”
The story adds that De Gea was left disillusioned after Van Gaal avoided praising him despite a string of fine performances this season – insisting he was just doing his job.
The Spaniard’s contract at Old Trafford expires in 2017, with United keen to extend that deal in the coming months.
