Robert Huth destroys Jon Walters after Stoke departure

Stoke City forward Jon Walters admitted he was “gutted” that Robert Huth was leaving the club – a sentiment shared by his team-mate, albeit for a very different reason.

The Republic of Ireland international opened up on Twitter after Huth made his loan switch to Leicester City permanent on Wednesday.

Walters proclaimed his former colleague was “up there with the best defenders in the league.”

But when he suggested Huth’s tongue-in-cheek brand – “the sexy football show” – would not be the same at Leicester, the German tore him down quite brilliantly.

Walters tried his best to respond, but the results were already in: Walters 0-1 Huth.
